30 minutes east of Waikiki is the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. This popular snorkeling destination has a beautiful bay that was once a volcanic crater and is now home to coral reefs full of colourful fish. There is a Marine Education Center that is full of exhibits and you can watch a short theatre presentation.

Oahu is also the home of Pearl Harbour and this historical site comprises of the USS Arizona Memorial, Battleship Mussouri Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, Pacific Aviation Museum and USS Oklahoma Memorial.
