Hawaii consists of 6 major islands: Hawaii, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai and Maui. Each island is distinct but you will we enjoy a warm welcome on each and a never-ending summer.

Hawaii Island, often known as Big Island, is the home of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park as featured in the BBC's 'Volcano Live' series that aired in July 2012 and the big draw here is seeing the molten magma flowing alongside lush rainforests.

Historical sites such as the birthplace of King Kamehameha and the missionary church in Kailua Village are just as popular with tourists as the modern golf courses.

A holidays to Kauai, Hawaii's forth largest island, presents you with the most romantic scenery imaginable and is known as the Garden Isle. Forking rivers, waterfalls, cliffs, mountains and tropical rainforest will have you in Hawaii heaven as you relax under the sun.

Kauai is also a great choice for the active and adventurous with kayaking down the Wailua River, snorkeling, hiking through the Kokee State Park and ziplining all available.

Oahu combines the modern with history and offers numerous beaches, memorials of Pearl Harbour, shopping in Waikiki and plenty of architecture to discover. Molokai Island is home to Hawaii's largest sandy beach whilst Lanai Island boasts championship golf courses.

Finally Maui is a great place to watch 45-foot whales off the coast and has many beaches previously voted at the best in the world!

  • Flights to Hawaii

Almost all international flights to Hawaii will arrive at the Honolulu airport on the island of Oahu, from where you can get a transfer, by air or sea, to the neighbouring islands.

Hawaii flight times vary (15hrs-18hrs) as most flights are not direct and our travel experts can provide you with the exact information when you enquire about making a booking.

You may be asked to fill out a written agricultural declaration while on board your flight to Hawaii to help prevent harmful plant pests and diseases entering Hawaii and we recommend that you do not take any fresh fruits, vegetables or flowers with you.
Although a long flight is to be endured, jet lag is usually not an issue as Hawaii lies close to the International Date Line and so a difference of only 1-hour will be experienced.

A handy travel guide is a good way to pass the time on your flight and with laptops (in flight safe mode) and Amazon's Kindle (e-book reader) becoming commonplace with travellers, you can almost look forward to relaxing on your flight to Hawaii.

Our holiday experts can provide further information on flights to Hawaii and you can complete our contact form to request a call back at a time convenient to you.
